Condolence: Aunt Flo, (aka Aunt Flop, Aunt Doughy). I could sit here and write stories all day about how you shaped our young lives and our teenage years, and became our friend as adults. You were always the cool aunt, with the best hugs and a hearty laugh. It wasn’t a fun weekend if you and Uncle Dan were not at our house in Gander. We loved it, and you kept mom and dad out of our hair and entertained, lol. Beyond those young years, you spent many a time with me and Abby while we lived in St. John’s. I will always remember how you would cringe and say “oh Shelley” with your scrunched up nose when I was pregnant with both girls and they would move. It was like you felt it!!!! Lol. You were also an amazing great aunt! You will be missed and always in our hearts. I will continue to follow in your footsteps with the cupboard cooking and love of a good wine pour! Cheers to you Auntie, I love you. ~Mini Me

Condolence From: Christie Pelletier (Boone)
Condolence: Aunt Flo was an aunt and a friend. Growing up in Gander Aunt Flo and Uncle Dan would spend many many weekends at our house, visiting, cooking up scoffs of fish (not my favourite) and big hearty breakfasts, catering to us kids and having laughs with Mom and Dad over a game of cards. Although I haven't been to Harbour Breton in many years I have very clear memories of weekends at their house. I was always prepared to entertain her and Uncle Dan and Danny with dress up and little performances and my best Urkle impression. Aunt and Uncle always made you feel at home. It was Aunt Flo that let the cat out of the bag that Uncle Dan was teasing us about needing to do "inventory" of the candy bars in the basement after realizing we were sneaking them non stop all weekend. We were scared silly, until Aunt Flo told us to just play along. She was always on our side.

As an adult I spent years in St. Johns going to school and Aunt Flo was more than an aunt, she was like a mom and even more like a good girl friend. I spent many nights at her house talking for hours over a glass of wine while she served beautiful home cooked meals that she whipped up. She always said she was a cupboard cook, but she was a pro. Her and Uncle Dan took good care of me in those years, dropping by my house in the city with leftovers, shovelling my driveway after a storm while I was at work and school and helping me out of any bind I found myself in.

She loved us like her own and we will never forget the many wonderful memories with her.

Rest in peace, love you always
