Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center at St. John’s on Friday, December 8th, 2023, Eliza Margaret Rose, age 79, of Harbour Breton, NL.

Eliza leaves to mourn her loving family: daughters, Lucy (Wayne), Linda (Pat) and Janice (David), all at Harbour Breton; daughter in law, Judy Day at Gander; grandchildren, Gavin (Shara), Clinton (Darlene), Chelsea (Eric), Janelle (Jonathan) and Angie (Aiden); great grandchildren, Mason, Sharlotte, Teagan, Lilly and Nicholas; sisters, Gertie Whittle (Jim) at Harbour Breton and Lorraine Day at Alberta; brother, Wilson Jr. (Bridget) at Harbour Breton; special family and friends, Andy (Malerie), George (Brenda), Bridget Stewart, Len Langdon, Racquel (Dennis) and Cherie;
as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Eliza was predeceased by her husband, Russell Rose; son, Kenneth Day; parents, Wilson Day Sr. and Mary Day; brothers, Abe Day (Lillian), Reg Day (Vivian) and Gordon Day (Genevieve); sister in law, Mary Lilly (Bill); special friend, Dan Baker.

Visitations took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton on Sunday, December 10 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm. Family Service was held at 7 pm.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 11th, 2023 at 10:00am from Spencer’s Funeral Home Chapel at Harbour Breton with Rev. Jonathan Durdle officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
