Passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by loving family, Margaret “Margie/Marg” Ann (nee Cox) Hudson, age 75. Marg reunited with her loving husband, Larry Hudson, September 1, 2023 after her courageous battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by her mother, Estella; father, George; brothers, Albert and Adonis; stepmother, Adelia; as well as brothers in law, Ross Willcott, Roland MacDonald and Ragaie Diebes.

Leaving to mourn sisters, Melita Cox, Mary MacDonald Diebes, Anita Willcott (Tom Brazil), Sandra Willcott (Richard) and step children, Lawrence, Andre, Peter, Patrick, Mary Ann and Louise. Also, leaving behind nephews, Roland & Shannon MacDonald, Justin, Steve & Wayne Willcott, nieces, Vanessa & Amanda Farrell, Gloria Mackie, Tracey Barnes, Sonja Hoskins, April Willcott, Chantal & Cheryl Cox and Sharon Collier; as well, She leaves a very special close circle of friends whom the family would like to thank for their unending support both to the family as well as to Marg.

Thank you to the palliative care team; they helped to ensure Marg’s wish to die at home was granted. A very special thank you to her home support workers, Libby Organ and Pauline Benoit who went above and beyond their call of duty.

During her career Marg worked as a switchboard operator with CNT, as well as, Hydro before working as a camera person for her husband, Larry, with the CBC. Marg will forever be remembered for her kind demeanor; she gave willingly to those in need without wanting recognition. She always saw the good in people and chose to overlook their faults. Margaret advocated for the downtrodden and strongly believed that all people should be treated equally regardless of their social status or personal beliefs.

Our hearts are heavy but we are left with too many fond memories to mention. Rest in peace sweet sister; your toil is over and the battle done.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 6 from 2:00pm to 9:00pm at Spencer’s Funeral Home at St. Alban’s with Wake Service/Prayers at 7:00pm.

Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 3:00pm at St. Ignatius Parish, St. Alban’s with Father Patrick Ousji officiating. No service at the grave site will be held at this time.
