It is with great sadness that the family of Guy Maxwell Herritt announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center at Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, January 23, 2023, age 81 years of Sandyville.

Guy leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Maisie, 56 years married; sons, Jeff (Myra) and Paul (Marsha), all at Sandyville; special niece, Roxanne (Rick Forsey) at Sandyville; grandchildren, Alicia (Tyler Loveless) at Paradise, Hayley Herritt at St. John’s, Noah Herritt at C.B.S., Hannah Myers at Nova Scotia, Emma Herritt at C.B.S. and Reid Loveless at Sandyville; great granddaughters, Callie Loveless, Charlotte Myers and Penelope Myers; brother, Roland Herritt (Jeannie) at Lower Sackville, NS; sisters in law, Jane Herritt at Sandyville, Daisy (Erwin Strowbridge), Charlotte (William Cox) all at Harbour Breton and Ada (Rennie Stacey) at Fortune; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his daughter, Daphne in 1975; parents, Maxwell and Rita Herritt; brother, Reginald Herritt.

Visitation took place at St. Saviour’s Haven at Hermitage from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 and Friday, January 27, 2023.

Funeral Service took place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm from St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Charlie Cox officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery at Hermitage-Sandyville.
