Obituary for Mary Frances Snook

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Frances Snook of Mose Ambrose announce her peaceful passing at Glenbrook Lodge in St. John’s on November 7, 2022, at the age of 71.

Predeceased by her husband, John Snook; father, Freeman Baker Sr.; and brothers-in-law, Arthur Snook and Garfield Lawrence.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her mother, Marjorie Baker at Grand Bank; children, Michael (Phyllis) at Kilbride, Todd (Colette) at Paradise, Tracy (Greg) at Mose Ambrose, and Jerry at Mose Ambrose; grandchildren, Heather (Justin), Mikayla, Hannah, and Christian; sisters, Jane Bishop (Launce) and Vera Marshall (Sam); brothers, Freeman Baker (Joanne) and Wayne Baker; sisters-in-law, Sadie Lawrence and Minnie Snook, plus a large circle of family and friends.

The family received visitors at St. Thomas Anglican Church at English Harbour West on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service took place Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Mose Ambrose.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NL.

A special note of thanks to the wonderful nursing and personal care staff who took such good care of Mary during her stay at Glenbrook Lodge, and especially those who attended during Mary’s final days and hours.
