It is with great sadness that the family of Mona Dorothy Lawrence announces her passing at the Pleasant View Towers at St. John’s on Saturday, May 28, 2022, age 77 years.

Mona leaves to mourn her loving family: brother, Donald (wife, Phyllis) at English Harbour West; niece, Michelle (Tony Coombs) at Paradise; nephew, Mark (Sarah) at St. John’s; great nieces, Jenna Lawrence, Olivia Lawrence, Julia Coombs and Renee Coombs; special niece, Darlene Brace (Glenn) at St. John’s; special friend, Helen, her roommate at Pleasant View Towers; Staff at 1 Northeast Pleasant View Towers; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Mona was predeceased by parents, James and Evelyn Lawrence; grandparents, Joseph and Mary Ann Bullen, and, John and Tryphena Lawrence.

Mona loved to listen to music especially Newfoundland and Country Music. She really enjoyed the local entertainment that would happen at the Home from time to time. She was especially thrilled when they played her favorite song, “Good Night, Irene!”

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Anglican Church at English Harbour West with Rev. Tryphena Vallis officiating. Inurnment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, English Harbour West.
