Obituary for Effie Irene Pierce

It is with great sadness that the family of Effie Irene Pierce announces her passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Sunday, January 23, 2022, after a very short battle with cancer, age 74 years of Harbour Breton, formerly of Coomb’s Cove.

Effie was predeceased by her husband, William; grandson, Andy; brother, Stanley; parents, Isaac and Clarissa Lawrence; parents in law, Harrison and Sarah Pierce; and other in laws.

Effie leaves to mourn her loving family: daughters, Joanne, with whom she resided, at Harbour Breton and Sheila (Kevin) at Lunenburg, NS; sons, William (Cynthia) at Grand Falls-Windsor, Glen (Selma) at Harbour Breton, Larry (Juanita) at Brooks, AB and Curtis (Shannon) at Grand Falls-Windsor; grandchildren, Steven, Kayla, Latoya, Cassidy, Brady, Mackenzie, Brian, Riley, Claire, Thomas, Lucas, Lundon and Amelia; great grandchildren, Isaac and Lilly; brother, Ralph (Shirley) at Conne River; sisters, Linda Poole at Yarmouth, NS and Donna Cox (Russell) at Wreck Cove; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 25, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton and Wednesday, January 26 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID 19 regulations will be followed.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton. COVID 19 regulations will be followed.
