It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Lawrence Banfield announces his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Friday, December 3, 2021, age 83 years of Harbour Breton.

Joseph leaves to mourn his loving family: daughters, Maisie (Jack Cornish), Tina (John Sullivan), all at Harbour Breton and Mary (George Gear) at Postville, Labrador; son, Edison at Grand Falls-Windsor; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Calvin (Connie) at Bridgewater, NS and Benjamin (Amy) at Lunenburg, NS; special sister, Margaret Tibbo at St. John’s; plus a circle of other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his wife, Joan; infant son, Paul Dennis; sister, Leah Cross; parents, Henry and Julia Banfield; parents in law, Lloyd and Martha Buglar; great grandchildren, Madyson and Leigh.

Funeral Service was held from Spencer’s Funeral Home Chapel at Harbour Breton at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Inurnment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
