It is with great sadness that the family of Melvin James Snook announces his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Monday, August 23, 2021, age 60 years of Harbour Breton.

Melvin leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Florence, married 33 years; special little puppy, Heidi; special niece, Susan Whittle; brother, Bill (Sharon) at Nova Scotia; sister, Jennifer (Trevor Piercey) at Alberta; brothers in law, Eric Day (Marjorie), Garfield Day, all at Harbour Breton, and Jim Day at St. John’s; sisters in law, Lenora (Mike Whittle), Goretta Snook and Laura Snook, all at Harbour Breton; as well as a large circle of other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by brothers, Manuel Snook and Derrick Snook; nephew, Matthew Snook; parents, Bill and Kathleen Snook; parents in law, Onslow and Susie Day; sister in law, Georgina Day.

Visitation took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton on Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm both days. Covid 19 regulations were followed.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at Harbour Breton with Father David Joy officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
