It is with great sadness that the family of Abraham George Day announces his passing at the Health Sciences Center at St. John’s on Monday, July 5, 2021, age 74 years of Harbour Breton.

Abraham leaves to mourn his loving family: daughter, Amy (Nate Snook) at Harbour Breton; son, Johnny (Nikki) at St. John’s; grandchildren, Liam and Lilliana; brothers, Reginald Day at Bishop’s Falls, Wilson Day, Jr. (Bridget) at Harbour Breton and Kenneth Day (Judy) at Gander; sisters, Eliza Margaret, Gertie (Jim), all at Harbour Breton and Lorraine at Whitecourt, AB; sister in law, Genevieve Day at Harbour Breton; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Abraham was predeceased by his wife, Lillian; parents, Wilson Sr. and Mary Day; parents in law, John and Bridget Martin; brother, Gordon Day; sister in law, Vivian Day; brother in law, Russell Rose.

Visitation was held at Spencer’s Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8 and on Friday, July 9 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID-19 rules were followed.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, July 10 at 11:00 am at Spencer’s Home Chapel with Father David Joy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
