It is with great sadness that the family of Violet Mary Pierce announces her passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Thursday, March 12th, 2020, age 91 years, of Harbour Breton.

Violet leaves to mourn her loving family: son, James (Goretta) at Harbour Breton; daughters, Lillian (Angus Pardy), Martha Pardy, Emmie (Max Bungay) and Annie Jean (Larry Johnston), all at Harbour Breton; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Skinner and Martha Layman (Edward), all at St. John’s; plus a circle of other relatives and special friends.

Predeceased by her husband, Eugene; son in law, Chesley Pardy; granddaughter, June Pardy; brothers, Edward Jarvis and Patrick Jarvis; parents, James and Cecilia Jarvis.

Visitation took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton on Friday, March 13th, 2020 and Saturday, March 14th, 2020 from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm , and, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

Funeral service was held on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
