It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Mary Skinner announces her passing on Monday, June 10th, 2019 at the Connaigre Penininsula Health Care Center, Harbour Breton, age 85 years, of Harbour Breton.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her loving family: son, David (Veronica) at Harbour Breton; daughters, Paulette (Don) at Furby’s Cove, Brenda (Dave) at Harbour Breton and Karen (Barry) at Summerside, PEI; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brothers, Dermont at Grand Falls-Windsor, Arthur (Shirley) and Dave (Donna) all at Harbour Breton; sisters, Ann at Fortune and Margaret (Sidney) at Harbour Breton; sister in law, Alice Skinner (Ronald) at Harbour Breton; plus a circle of other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her husband, David; parents, Thomas and Sarah Pierce; brother, John.

Visitation took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home, Harbour Breton on Tuesday, June 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm ; On Wednesday, June 12, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm; On Thursday, June 13 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

Funeral service was held on Thursday, June 13th, 2019 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
