Calvin Brian Sheppard was born on July 24th, 1959. A loving husband, a proud father and a hard working businessman; he lived his life by his rules. On August 28, 2018, Calvin passed away at the Connaigre Peninsula Community Health Centre in Harbour Breton. He was 59 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Margaret Yarn-Sheppard; children, James Sheppard and Megan Sheppard; parents, Harold and Joan Sheppard; brother (and best friend), Wade Sheppard; sisters, Sharon Fiander and Josie Legge.

The greatest loves of Calve’s life were his family, his business and the place he proudly called home, South Coast of Newfoundland.

Calve’s family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the immense number of friends that have offered condolences and support during this time of profound sadness. Particular gratitude is expressed to his loyal employees (past and present) at Yarn’s Store Ltd.

A public memorial service to celebrate the life and legacy of Calvin Sheppard was held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at the All Saints Anglican Church in his hometown of Wreck Cove.
