Rita Evelyn was born to Alexander and Myrtle Loveless (both deceased) on June 24, 1929 at Seal Cove, Fortune Bay.

Following her formative and servitive years, she met and married Maxwell James Bungay. Together they parented 7 sons: Ross (Brenda), Alexander (Sheila), Campbell (Maddie), Russel (Rhonda), Lenus (Sueann), Mervin (Natalie) and Wayne (deceased). She, also, leaves to mourn 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Rita is survived by sister, Beulah (husband, Gordon deceased) and sister in law, Roseabel ( husband, Milton deceased).

Rita was predeceased by sister, Lillian (James) and brothers, Leonard (Dorothy) and Milton.

Rita rarely travelled – never liked it – but was surrounded by caring and very helpful neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Visitation took place on Friday, June 1, Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3 at the Salvation Army Citadel in Seal Cove.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Salvation Army Citadel at Seal Cove with Aux. Captains Randy and Diane Kirby officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Seal Cove.
