Condolence From: Gander Wings Special Olympics Club
Condolence: Gander Special Olympics Athletes, Coaches and Volunteers wish to express sincere condolences to the Family of Betty Ann.Betty Ann was a member of our Club for a number of years and during that time she definitely demonstrated the true spirit of Special Olympics.During competition, she came to be a contributing member of her team and to compete, and at our social activities she came to have fun.At Christmas she attended the party, as we say, "dressed to the nines" and at St Patrick's wearing green. When it came to Hallowe'en we didn't know what to expect, but it was great. We all missed Betty Ann when she moved from Gander. but she did keep in contact with some of her former athletes.
Many times Betty Ann recited the Special Olympic Oath at the start of an event.---"Let me win, but, if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
From all of us---Rest In Peace Betty Ann and Thank You for bringing so much to our Club.
