Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton, on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017, Gordon Malcolm Baker, age 65 years of Harbour Breton.

Leaving to mourn his loving family: wife, Doreen; daughter, June, husband, Mark Snook at Harbour Breton; son, Gordon (Jr.) , wife, Amy at Hinton, AB; precious grandchildren, Daniel, Andrea and Keira; brothers, Cecil at Harbour Breton, Jack (Tina) at Lunenburg, NS and Leo (Elaine) at Harbour Breton; sisters, Matilda (Hubert) at Lunenburg, NS, Gertie Leachman at Grand Falls-Windsor and Barbara (Jim Stoodley) at Harbour Breton; brothers in law, Leo Stewart (Ann) and Paul Stewart (Erika) all at Harbour Breton; sisters in law, Anne Marie Snook at Harbour Breton, Sheila Lambert at Whitecourt, AB and Marilyn Bungay (Murray) at Harbour Breton; plus a large number of other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, William J. Baker and Clara Baker (nee Rose); parents in law, Leo Stewart (Sr.) and Lillian (nee Skinner); brother in law, Gordon Stewart; plus other relatives.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00 am from the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at Harbour Breton with Father David Joy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
