Obituary for Myrtle Rose Spencer
Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, Mrs. Myrtle Rose Spencer, age 81 years of Harbour Breton.
Leaving to mourn her loving family: daughters, Gertie (Chesley Kane) at Port aux Basques, Norma (Tony Whittle) at Harbour Breton and Tracy at Port aux Basques; sons, Robert at Conception Bay South and James (Charlene) at Harbour Breton; sisters, Dorothy (Ben Crant) at Halifax, NS, Marie (Henry Hunt) at Harbour Breton, Martha Strickland at Clarenville and Phyllis (Wesley Harris) at Seal Cove; twelve grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren; special niece Norma (Angus Vallis) at Harbour Breton; plus a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, John, Sr.; sons, John, Jr. and Glen; her parents, Stanley and Lavina Skinner; brothers, William Skinner and Samuel Skinner; sister, Mabel; as well as other relatives.
Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
She will forever live on in the hearts of those who love her.
