Life Story for Joshua Michael James Bungay
Josh was born to Angie and Roy Bungay, February 19, 1998. A handsome blond haired, blue eyed baby boy, Josh was a pleasure to be around from day one. He was a loving son and grandson and in 2001 he became a big brother to Erin. Josh's favorite companion was his dog Jake. Josh loved to do so many things, accomplishing more in his eighteen years than most do in a lifetime. He so enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trips to the cabin with his best buddy, his dad, Roy. He was an avid participant in the Children's Wish Walk each year. Josh was a Childrens' Wish Child, having been granted a family trip to Disney World in 2007. It meant so much to him each year to participate in the Walk of Hope, especially the survivors lap with his buddy, Tom Cox. Each year, Josh looked forward to attending the Easter Seals Camp and visiting the Easter Seals House. He made many new friends, especially enjoying a good game of bocce.
A big event every February in the Bungay household was "Josh's Tea Party" to celebrate his birthday. It was a day he enjoyed so much; planning and then just to chat and have many delicious treats. Anyone who knew Josh soon discovered how much he loved hockey; he was the "Ottawa Senators #1 Fan". He actually got to watch his favourite team play TWICE. Josh enjoyed going to the CYN on weekends and was beyond excited to participate in a CYN ball hockey tournament where his team took first place with Josh scoring a goal.
He touched the lives of so many people with his humour, kindness and generosity.
'In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.'
